The “jezebel spirit”

One of my readers sent me a article on the jezebel spirit in today’s women.

• She is very manipulative
• Hates men of God especially if they’re faithfully doing the work of God
• She joins weak churches and destroys them
• She hates prophets
• She targets single men to destroy their anointing
• She Operates in witchcraft; this includes jealousy, pride, envy, intimidation, manipulation, hatred
• She twists scripture
• She is Religious
• She Hates women and men in authority especially in authority over her
• She Seeks attention; looks to always gain a place of power or authority and would do anything to take someone’s place
• She Hates the Truth
• She will not submit to a man; if she does it’ll only be in order to gain ground or pretense, Conditional submission. “As long as you do this and this, I’ll submit to you”. Some wives allow this spirit to seduce them and they become submissive to their husbands only when it’s beneficial to them. This is rebellion in the Marriage bed. Submission is powerful and invites God’s blessings but the enemy lies to some wives enticing them to operate in a Jezebelic manner.
• She may look innocent and be widely known as being very helpful and friendly, but he/she is deceitfully cunning and subtle; like a snake.
• She has this deep feeling of wanting to be praised, worshipped, told nice things and complimented all the time. The Jezebel spirit likes to be adored like a God.
• She never forgets when she is wronged because people with the Jezebel spirit struggle to forgive others. Even capable of killing or destroying your life. They’ll even wait years to get revenge or find out something happended to you. They often believe everyone needs to pay for what they’ve done or said to hurt her.

While all of this is true, I’m very skeptical of people saying that they’re tempted by spirits or Satan. Heck, I’ve said Satan is a scapegoat before.

James 1:13 No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it has run its course, brings forth death.

When you have a culture that diverges from Judeo-Christian ethics, you have increasing moral immaturity. This leads to people not knowing right from wrong and with their conscience’s seared they will be much more strongly prone to give into whatever desires their heart wants. This is where things like the destructive “jezebel spirit” comes in.

While I am not denying that Satan and demons are real, but in most cases humans — both men and women — fall to temptation of their own desires rather than having actual spiritual warfare against them.

In other words, most of the women who display the “jezebel spirit” are just doing it because it feels good to their flesh to play the victim and blame men for everything.

It is the women who are supposedly Christian who do the same thing that should know better. However, like all women it is easy for them to fall for the same temptations that display themselves in culture and to act the same way — to the destruction of their own marriages. Yet many of them claim to be Proverbs 31 and Titus 2 women.

What you have described as the “Jezebel spirit” sounds an awful lot like narcissism.

  2. Jack says:

The Jezebel spirit IS narcissism. To be precise, it is Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which can vary in its expression and severity. The bible refers to it as witchcraft. Witchcraft is well recognized in Asia, especially the Philippines and Thailand. But westerners scoff at the idea while witchcraft runs rampant, even within the church. Of note, sexual promiscuity is a doorway to witchcraft, especially for women. So it is expectable for promiscuous western women to be narcissistic.

I have it at second hand that Narcissistic Personality Disorder was dropped from the DSM-5 in 2013 because it became so common. It was listed in the DSM-4. I think that Histrionic Personality Disorder was similarly dropped. Feminism has taken over psychology which should not be news to any of us.

    Deep Strength,
You are going to hate me for saying it, but we need a collective solution. All women, Christian and secular have been poisoned by feminism. I don’t think a Christian specific solution is going to work.
The first thing to do is have a convincing argument that feminism harms women.

Christianity was never about changing the system.

It’s about implementing change how Jesus did… making his own disciples and those disciples doing the same. Change occurs from the gospel and the fruit of the Spirit.

I think the boys will buy into virtue. They always have. The problem is getting the girls to go along.

Witchcraft is as real as a heartattack. Its not a metaphor for drifting into ungodly behavior. I have lots of experience with women who do this. For several years every 4mo or so I would have a direct broad daylight no doubt demonic confirmation in one of their presences. Doors unlock themsleves and open or close themsleves and lock right in front of your eyes. Things moving on the wall direct voices wind elevating your blanket. These are real intelligent beings with a plan and purpose.

  8. Oscar says:

The New Testament word for witchcraft is pharmakeia. Considering that drug overdose is a top cause of death among young Americans, that’s a whole lot of witchcraft.

  9. Ame says:

Witchcraft, evil spirits, cults, are very prevalent. A co-worker noticed things as Locustsplease described, and I taught her how to cast out demons. She did, and they left. But they came back, so she had to do it again. She’s moved to a different office in another town, but last I heard from her, she and her family are now attending church.

This is totally conjecture on my part … but I’ve been pondering why these very evil people want to reduce the population of the world. Why would evil people want fewer people to control than more? And I wondered … is there a finite number of demons? If so, a smaller population would potentially mean demons wouldn’t be spread so thin.

I do know that demons are real, satanism and cults and witchcraft in all forms is very real and very active and prevalent in all spheres of society and culture. The grandfather of my college BFF was a baptist preacher by day and a high priest in the satanist church by night, using the church buildings for his santanic rituals. When we were in college her mother had a total mental breakdown and spent a year in a psych hospital working through all the things they did to her as they used her and her siblings in their rituals. My friend remembers playing hide-and-seek in her grandparent’s house as a child and seeing black robes hanging in the back of their closet.

There have been many times I have needed to cast out demons in the Name of Jesus.

    The spiritual war is intense.

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Ephesians 6:10-20 “10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [b]wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [c]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”

2 Kings 6:14-18 “14 Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city. 15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”

16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18 So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.”

NOT excusing behavior by saying the devil made me do it, but separating Satan from the evil of this world would be denying his power as the prince of this world and make us more vulnerable.
